berburu buku baru

Josef Kolb – Systems in Timber Engineering: Loadbearing Structures and Component Layers. Publisher: Birkhäuser Basel | 2008-05-23 | ISBN: 3764386894 | PDF | 319 pages | 51.55 MB

Summary: Timber construction has become completely modernized. It has gained considerably in market share with respect to competing building materials and is dominated by systems such as frame and solid timber construction. Every timber construction is determined by its structure. Hence it is essential to know the connections and relationships from the design stage right through to the construction phase. Systems in Timber Engineering takes a whole new approach to this subject. It is a comprehensive, analytical, and visually organized treatment, from the simple single-family house to the large-scale multistore structure. It includes the building envelope, which is so important for saving energy, and systems for ceilings and interior dividing walls, which are so essential from the vantage point of construction. This work uses plans, schematic drawings, and pictures to show the current and forward-looking state of the technology as applied in Switzerland, a leading country in the field of timber construction.

“Structural Timber Design to Eurocode 5”
Publisher: Wiley-Blackwell | Pages: 560 | 2008-01-10 | ISBN 1405146389 | PDF | 5 MB

Summary: Structural Timber Design to Eurocode 5 is a comprehensive book which provides practising engineers and specialist contractors with detailed information and in-depth guidance on the design of timber structures based on the common rules and rules for buildings in Eurocode 5 – Part 1-1. It will also be of interest to undergraduate and postgraduate students of civil and structural engineering. The book provides a step-by-step approach to the design of all of the most commonly used timber elements and connections using solid timber, glued laminated timber or wood based structural products. It features numerous detailed worked examples, and incorporates the requirements of the UK National Annex. It covers the strength and stiffness properties of timber and its reconstituted and engineered products; the key requirements of Eurocode 0, Eurocode 1 and Eurocode 5 – Part 1-1; the design of beams and columns of solid timber, glued laminated, composite and thin-webbed sections; the lateral stability requirements of timber structures; and the design of mechanical connections subjected to lateral and/or axial forces as well as rigid and semi-rigid connections subjected to a moment.

Structural Elements Design Manual: Working with Eurocodes
Publisher: Butterworth-Heinemann; 1 edition (July 16, 2009) | ISBN: 0750686685 | Pages: 280 | PDF | 62,67 MB

Summary: Structural Elements Design Manual – Working With Eurocodes is the structural engineers ‘companion volume’ to the four Eurocodes on the structural use of timber, concrete, masonry and steelwork. For the student at higher technician or first degree level it provides a single source of information on the behaviour and practical design of the main elements of the building structure.

With plenty of worked examples and diagrams, it is a useful textbook not only for students of structural and civil engineering, but also for those on courses in related subjects such as architecture, building and surveying whose studies include the design of structural elements.Trevor Draycott the former Buildings and Standards Manager with Lancashire County Council’s Department of Property Services has 50 years experience in the construction industry. For 20 years he was also an associate lecturer in structures at Lancashire Polytechnic, now the University of Central Lancashire in Preston. For many years he served on the Institution of Structural Engineers, North West Branch, professional interview panel and the North West regional committee of the Timber Research and Development Association.

Yan Xiao “Modern Bamboo Structures:
Proceedings of the First International Conference”
Taylor & Francis | 2008-08-12 | ISBN: 041547597X |
312 pages | PDF | 8,45 MB

Summary: Bamboo materials are well available in the world. Bamboo has much shorter maturity than trees, thus can be harvested with shorter cycles of plantation. Despite the fact that human society has a long history of using bamboo, there is still a lack of modern and industrialized application of bamboo materials in construction. Promoting the application of bamboo in construction could provide a potential solution to the sustainable, green and environment-friendly development of construction industry.

“Modern Bamboo Structures” is the first of its kind covering the applications of bamboo materials in modern structures. The following topics are covered in this book: properties of bamboo materials and components; design, experimental testing, and analysis of bamboo structures and components; modern bamboo buildings and bridges; composites of bamboo, timber and other materials; bamboo reinforced concrete; comparative studies of timber and bamboo structures; adhesives, joints, and engineered bamboo products; environmental, sustainability and ecological issues; and, structural and constructional applications of other natural and non-conventional materials.

These proceedings of the First International Conference on Modern Bamboo Structures (ICBS-2007, Changsha, China, 28-30 October 2007) include the state-of-the-art on materials, design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, and construction of modern bamboo structures. “Modern Bamboo Structures” will be essential for researchers, engineers and administrators involved in structural engineering, civil engineering, agriculture engineering, forestry, environmental engineering and urban development.

  1. struktur berbasis material organik sangat sulit menentukan kapasitas kekuatannya, butuh banyak pendekatan, eksperimen dan insting insinyur yg tajem.. sangat cocok buat para senior🙂
